Financial Rights: a place for career growth

Mike joined the Financial Rights team as a financial counsellor in 2022, after a long corporate career as a commercial negotiator in the ICT industry. He chose to qualify as a financial counsellor to use his experience for community services, and first worked for the Salvation Army. After joining Financial Rights and working with the team for 2 years, Mike decided to dust off his old law degree, obtain his practicing certificate and was admitted as a solicitor in mid 2024. Bringing together the skills of the financial counsellor and combining those with his legal acumen, he feels best placed to deliver better outcomes for our clients. Mike enjoys the challenge of his role and feels immense satisfaction helping people when they need it most.
