Financial Rights Legal Centre, Financial Counselling Australia (FCA) and Consumer Action Law Centre called for a prohibition on the use of credit cards, including via e-wallets, for digital gambling in a joint submission to the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services’s inquiry into the regulation of the use of financial services such as credit cards and digital wallets for online gambling in Australia.
While gambling is a legitimate form of entertainment for many Australians, gambling should not be funded by credit.
